Hambo Hoedown Guest Designer

I am so honored to tell you that I was asked to be a guest designer
for the Hambo Hoedown this week.
The digital stamp this week is the dragonfly and the challenge is to
CASE  a card in the Hambo Galleries.
I chose a card from the animal gallery here:
It is Jane's chipmunk card that I chose to case.

I love the multicolored background.
I used smooth white paper and a Club Scrap flower and embossed it white.
With a brayer and a multicolored inkpad I colored the background.
The dragonfly is colored with copic markers twice. One I cut out and glued
the body to the paper and added glossy accent on top. The wings
were done with stickles.
Have a creative day!

Time for an apple with honey!

Hello Stampers,
Welcome to my blog. I have a combination of posts
Here you see my card for the Jewish New Year,
which is starting tomorrow.
It is a tradition to eat a sweet apple with honey
to wish one another a very sweet New Year.
I got some lovely digital stamps from Create with TLC
this year for my cards. The latest new stamp is the
"apple time" stamp that is used on my cards.

For my cards I used some kraft colored cardstock
in combination with apple red cardstock.
Below you find the template for the card.
If you click on the picture you get the large version and safe
this to your computer with the right mouse click.

The honey part of the apple is embossed with the swirl embossing folder
and colored with wild honey distress ink. To make it look real creamy
all of this part is embossed with honey pearl embossing powder.
The sentiment is also by Create with TLC.

The apple Time image is colored with copic markers.
I do hope you all have a wonderful start of the New Year!

This is a little apple box made for a small honey jar.
This is easo to make. Cut two strips of red paper of
8,5"x 2" and use a corner rounder at the end.
Place the strips crosswise on top of each other and
glue in the middle. Use a hole punch on each
end. Cut the 2 leaves, punch a hole too.
Place the little honey jar on the middle, cross to strips
on top and tie with the ribbon. Cross the other two strips
on top, pull the ribbon through the holes, tie a knot
and add the leaves and make a bow.

Have a sweet and creative New Year!

Stella a la Zindorf

I am a big fan of Michaelle Zindorf.
She makes beautiful art and she gives great classes,
but......she is not coming to Europe,
so here we just have to do with her tutorials.
Today I used one of her early tutorials to make this card.
If you are interested here is the tutorial:

For this card I used Michael Strongs cat stamp.
His cat is called Stella.
I stamped her once on the card and once on a piece of paper,
colored her with distress inks and cut her out.
Used some double sided foam tape to mount her on the background.

The sentiment is by Create with TLC
and after printing it, I colored it also with distress ink
and used a white gel pen on the letters.

Hope you will give it a try too!

Have a creative day!

Uitdagingen/ Challenges

This is my card for the
For the first challenge you need  to incorporate something from
around the house that you don't normally see on a card.
And for the second challenge the theme is "Friendship".

For the Hambo Hoedown I chose to us a keyring
on the sun, that is fastned with some embroidery thread.
The house and the text is found under House 2.

For the Penny Black challenge, I chose to use the
Friends have to keep in touch with each other,
even by sending a card and see what is going on.

A couple of weeks ago I won a prize at PBSC
