Sunday Scrap Page: Sinterklaas

Welcome to another Scrap Page Sunday!

Today you see a very Dutch folklore page.
Sinterklaas is a bit like Father Christmas, but it is espially
a festival for children that ends on December 5.
You can read all about it HERE.

For my page I used Club Scrap Homestead papers
and Michael Strong Alphabet and medaillon stamps.

The letters are embossed with white embossing powder
on red paper. They are punched out with an oval punch.

These wooden tags came with the Homestead kit.
I colored them with brown ink and stamped the
to/from on it and the name are handwritten, like
they are ready to go on a present.

Here is Owen at a party from his mother's work.
It is the first time he came real close to Sinterklaas.
A big experience for him.

And here are all the boys with a "Piet" (helper of Sinterklaas)
hat on and they are having so much fun.
The little words that you see also came with the Homestead kit.
The brown circles are stamped with the little medaillon stamp
and pretend to be "pepernoten, a delicacy that is typical
for this time of year. You can find the recipe HERE.

When I noticed this challenge on the

the web and stumbled on these cute
bears with coffee!
The were in the Etsy shop of
and I just had to buy them.

So here is my card for the challenge.
The card is kraft paper and the panel is a dark
shiny gold paper embossed with coffee beans.

with scissors.

On the cup I glued a little metal heart.

Happy Thanksgiving

To all my friends in the US:

Of course I had to make a card for you.
As I did not have a turkey stamp,I improvised a little.
I made this one up with the tulipand the chick stamp
from Michael Strong and all the papers are Club
Scrap (Moroccan Spice, Botanicals and Big Top).

The Happy sentiment is from CS Picknic kit and Thanksgiving
is from a clear CTMH set.

If you clickon the picture you can see a larger version
of this card detailof the turkey. You see I added the wiggly eyes
and the gemstones. The tulips look perfect hear as the turkey feathers.
The border of the card I doodled with a black marker.

I also had to make this coffee card for my friends at the
Coffee Loving Papercrafters group on facebook.
I used the Tim Holtz coffee cup die,
Michael Strong's pumpkin stamp and
Create with TLC sentiment.

All the papers are from the Club Scrap Moroccan Spice kit.
The background I made with the extra stencil that I order
with this kit. I used brown and orange ink to color the
background.
On the coffee cup i also sed the pumpkin stamp for decoration.
Everything is colored with pencil.
The sentiment by Create with TLC is printed with the
computer and cut out with a die.

Thank you for looking.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Club Scrap Blog Hop: Moroccan Spice

Welcome to another wonderful Blog Hop from
Club Scrap
I hope you arrived here from
Donna's Blog
and admired her wonderful project.
If you happen to loose your way, you can always
go back to the Club Scrap Blog,
where you find all participants.

I absolutely love the colores of this month's kit.
Beautiful for coffee cards, but I restrain myself
and have some other projects in mind too!
I am making little bags with the
Stampin'Up! mini treat bag die.
Here is the first one. With this beautiful paper
you don't need to do anything with the background.
I only added the banner with hanks cut out with a die.
The fibre came with the kit and I closed the bag with
a clothes pin decorated with a leaf (from the Aspen kit).

The second bag has a window cut out,
so you can see the sentiment of the card inside.
Around the window I used the Aspen
leaves again. I colored them with pencil.

Here the inside card. I used the stencil with this one
and the Greetings to Go UM stamps.
The third bag is for Hanukkah, for this
is a Holiday I celebrate. We always give money
to our kids and I try to make different
eveloppes each year. This year it will be the
treat bag enveloppe..

Again, I made a window in the treat bag.
Of course I did this before folding and taping the bag together.

I cut a card that fit's inside the treat bag.
The decorated side will be the front side.
And the gift card will be fastned to the backside

On the back side I will add a gift card.
So I made to slits to make the card fit.
Because you see this on the front I used
alittle panel to cover this.

Here you see the finished front side of the card.
For the white part I used an embossing folder that matches
the Moroccan theme. The Hanukkah stamps are
also by Club Scrap but very vintage!
I also want to share this window card with you.
I made some last year, but I thought I do it again for
the stencil gave me a perfect window.
You find instructions for a card like this HERE
with video instructions.

Here is the part of the stencil, that I used forthe window of
this card. Behind the window is a piece of vellum (not from
the kit).

I cut the window 3 times.

Here the vellum part. First the star stamped and
embossed and next decorated with another part of the stencil.

Here you see the stencil, that you can have as an extra
added to your kit. You see more of it HERE.

This easel card can be send flat (hope the receiver has
one of these electric tealights) or you have to add one
with your gift!

This is how the card lookks from behind.

See the light burning through the window.

Inside the card the menorah (candle holder) is
fastened with foam tape, so it holds the standing up
part of the card.

If you are in for more ideas, please hop over to
I am sure she has something special for you in store.

Thank you very much for looking and
for your wonderful comments.

Have a creative day!

Mojo Monday 425

Even though we do not celbrate Thanksgiving in
The Netherlans, I do make cards for my US friends.
The sketch Challenge on Mojo Monday suddenly
gave me an idea for this card.

This is the sketch.
And this is my card.
I used the Club Scrap Moroccan Spice kit
with it's warm colors.Just perfect for the
time of the year. You find the kit HERE.

For the background (red panel) I used an embossing
folder and added gold ink direct to the paper.

You see the motive combing back in the paper
and also behind the sentiment(stencil).
The leaves are from the Aspen kit stamped
on dark brown and colored with pencil.

I hope you willcome back tomorrow for our
monthly Club Scrap Blog Hop with over
20 blogs to visit and get some wonderful inspiraion.

Have a creative day!
