Club Scrap Steamworks linky party

This week I received the perfect picture to make a scrap page
for the linky party of Febuary's Club Scrap Steamworks images.
I used the digital Steamworks kit and photoshop to make this page.

My grandson was in a museum with his other grandparents.
We share pictures in a family group and when I saw this,
I knew I had found the right picture for this month.

I am getting better using layers in Photoshop, now I need to learn
more about effects. I learned to color the background, but
would love to have a more gradient border. Step by step it is
getting better, but not as good as some I see around.......one day!

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Happy Birthday, Zora!

Happy Birthday to my youngest daughter Zora!
We had a wonderful celebration at her house yesterday.
Wishing you a wonderful year full of love, great work, happiness
and wonderful party's!

As my daughter has two very sweet cats, I dug out some
old Maryse Carier stamps, perfect for this occasion.
Stamped and embossed in black and colored with my zig markers.

Inside the card I made acute envelope to hide the money.
Made the envelope with the envelope punch board.

Have a great birthday, Zora!

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Cupcake Inspirations #440

Happy Sunday!
Today my card is for a white color challenge.
As I have been having the flu for over a week
and not touched any coffee, I could resist making
a coffee card.

My card is for this color challenge on the

For my card I started out making the background
with 2 embossing folders. On top of the panel I used
the coffee bean folder. The words you see are stickers
out of a Tim Holtz sticker book.

At the bottom of the card I used the new Sizzix
coffee ring folder. The ribbon is from my favorite
DL.ART store from my friend Diana Larson.

The cup is cut out of white paper with thinlits
from Stampin'Up! and decorated with paper flowers
and a button in the heart of the flower.
I used a little fossilized amber oxide distress in
around the back panel and the cup, kind of
cake color.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Year of the Dog

The Chinese New Year has started and this time it is the Year of the Dog.
As I do not have many people to send cards to, I decided to make a
birthday card for dog lovers and I enter my card for the challenge on the
And Simon says:
Add a die.
See all the samples HERE.
For my card I used a FREE dog image, that you can find on the
blog of Michael Strong HERE. For the background I
used several washi tapes on a scrap piece of paper
and cut it out with a circle die. Then I used the matching
scallop die for the black circle. Before adding the circle
to the card I adde the pendant washi tape to the card
and matched up the circle.

When the circle was on the card I stamped the dog bones,
the food bowl and sentiment (all by Tim Holtz).
The dog and the bowl are colored with pencil
and the bones are colored with a white gel pen.

Thank you so much for looking
and have a creative New Year!

Valentine's

Besidews making a card for my wonderful husband,
I also make cards for my 2 daughters.
Here is the first one for my eldest.
Lately we share a love for coffee and so I made
her this coffee card.
I also want to enter this card for the Paper Players
color challenge.

Background made with direct to paper technique and
a stencil. The cup is a die from Stampin'Up! as well
as the paper I used for the sleeve of the cup.
The heart is covered with glossy accent.
Do you see the cute little silver spoon next to the cup?

I composed the sentiment with Tim Holtz stickers
a stamp for the & and a Verve die for coffee.

Here the inside of the card with a leftover
strip from the front panel, some hearts
and a sentiment (both Tim Holtz)
and my favorite Club Scrap coffee ring stamp.

The second card is for my youngest daughter
and made with Club Scrap Valentine's stamps (2008).

On top of the card I did the faux postage technique
and the hearts are colored with a red marker and
on top glossy accent (I seem to use this a lot lately!).
I also made some cards with my grandson yesterday.

He made his kisses so colorful
and even added the names of his brothers.

Colorful closing of the envelop.
In The Netherlands we had free postage on Valentine cards
if you add  a lipstick kiss. So here you see Owen
kissing the enveloppes and make them ready for sending.

And here they go!

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day
and thanks for looking!

Cupcake Inspiration for Valentine

Today my card is inspired by a picture on the

Don't these cupcakes look delicious!
I also use the sketch from February from the

My card is made with the direct to paper technique
and used thes tree colors of oxide distress inks and
a few drops of water.

Add the ink to the craft sheet, spray water and
pick up the paint with the white paper.
When the ink is dry it is ready for stamping.
The background stamp is an old wooden stamp
from Club Scrap.

I think it is from the Fizz kit 2007. The sentiment is
from the matching unmounted rubber sheet.

I also colored some of the circles with the stamping ink
with a waterbrush. Finishing off the card with
a few white sequins.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!
